Bishop JohnBp. JOHN “Offering Ourselves During the Mass”

The Right Reverend Bishop JOHN (Abdalah) is the Vicar Bishop for the Western Rite Vicariate. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Care from Pittsburgh Theological School, a Master of Divinity from St. Vladimir’s Seminary, a Master’s equivalency certificate in Pastoral Counseling from Pittsburgh Pastoral Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. For 33 years, he served as a priest of the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America; he has been Dean of St. George Cathedral in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the past 16 of those years. Before that, he served 16 years in New Kensington, and one year in Little Falls.

Fr. John W. Fenton “Preparing for Mass”

Fr. John Fenton is the pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church in Whittier, CA. Fr. John came to Orthodoxy after 16 years of service as a Lutheran minister. Ordained a priest by Bishop MARK on 11 February 2007, Fr. John was first assigned to form Holy Incarnation Orthodox Church. Fr. John has earned a Master of Divinity and a Master of Sacred Theology, and is a candidate for a Doctor of Ministry degree. Fr. John has taught theology and philosophy in both high school and college classrooms. In 2009, Metropolitan PHILIP appointed Fr. John as Assistant to the Vicar General of the Western Rite Vicariate.

Fr. Michael Keiser “Those for Whom We Pray” frmichaelkeiser

The Very Rev. Michael Keiser serves on the Western Rite Commission. He has worked with 28 different congregations in the areas of growth and renewal, with a particular interest in encountering the Western culture that so many Orthodox Christians now live in. He has been active in establishing the Western Orthodox experience, working with new congregations that are entering into the Orthodox faith. Fr. Keiser is the author of books on worship, spirituality, and suffering, including Offering the Lamb and A Beginner’s Guide to Prayer. He travels and speaks extensively, continuing to pastor and mentor primarily small congregations in widely scattered areas of the United States.

The Very Rev. Edward Hughes is the Vicar General of the Antiochian Western Rite Vicariate. He has served as pastor of St. George Orthodox Church in Lawrence, MA since 1989. He is the spiritual advisor to the Diocese of Worcester and New England Antiochian Women and Dean of the New England Deanery. He also is chair of the Archdiocese Departments of Liturgics and Translations.
